This job was posted by : For more information, please see: POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for installation, calibration and maintenance of the refinery instrumentation and electrical equipment or any other assigned tasks that personnel can safely perform. Perform tests and accurately provide appropriate documentation of results on all CEM's equipment for EPA compliance and auditing purposes.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredJourneyman Electrical, Journeyman Instrument or related field preferred.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS3+ years of direct experience reading instrumentation and electrical diagrams preferred3+ years of direct experience with electrical controls, electrical distribution systems and motor controls preferred3+ years of direct experience with SCADA/PLC/Pneumatic controlled loops with the ability to troubleshoot an array of problems associated with the equipment preferredDemonstrated working knowledge of P & ID's, Cascade Loops, Pneumatic valve operations, Controllers, Digital signals, Transmitter minimum voltages, Calibration techniques, and Actuators requiredDemonstrated basic understanding of electrical and electronic instrumentation operating principals requiredBroad understanding of refinery operations preferredFluent in English, oral and written requiredProficient skills in MS Office suite requiredAbility to troubleshoot and resolve problemsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsOrientation toward continuous process improvementAbility to adjust schedule to meet business demandsMAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIESProviding electrical and instrumentation support to maintain equipment and facilities in a manner that is safe, efficient and environmentally sound.Participating in project planning including P&ID development and Cause & Effects DevelopmentPerforming all duties in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental, applicable government regulations, and industry best practices.Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, pneumatic, process controls and new equipment as projects dictate.Regularly communicate with supervisor on work progress, concerns, questionsEXPECTED RESULTSProviding electrical and instrumentation support to maintain equipment and facilities in a manner that is safe, efficient and environmentally sound.Liaison with all work groups to improve performance and reliability of CEM's equipment.Communicate with all work groups during scheduled downtime of equipment and during plant outages.Adherence to all company policies and proceduresCVR Energy is an EEO and affirmative action employer.
