Your Career

As a Product Marketing Manager at Palo Alto Networks, you will own the go-to-market efforts for our mobility and hybrid cloud security offerings. You will work closely with product management, sales, customers and technology partners to deeply understand our target audience, key security issues they are experiencing, our unique value proposition and competitive landscape. You will use this knowledge to develop GTM strategy and tactics, messaging, content and training, with a special focus on enabling the channel.

In addition to your own creativity, you will also rely on interaction with customers and partners to understand requirements and needs. You will be expected to deliver product functionality for service providers that matches our level of innovation found throughout the product portfolio. You are to be involved with the service provider-focused products throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities) running feature roadmap execution and tactical activities around. Since this role is vertically focused, you will work very closely with individual product managers across our broader team.

Your Impact

  • Define and lead go-to-market efforts in collaboration with business development, product management, sales and channel

  • Build compelling content to fulfill various goals, including establishing thought leadership, growing our footprint at existing customers, and landing new customers

  • In partnership with other marketing organizations, execute campaigns and events to fulfill industry leadership and pipeline targets

  • Develop customer success stories using creative formats like video, infographics, and blogs

  • Collaborating with Product Marketing to build product related sales and marketing materials; evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally

  • Develop creative features in support of a product strategy

  • Develop products roadmap and services for sell to and sell through opportunities

  • Support service providers with offering creation, go-to-market strategy, and execution

  • Market and customer analysis, requirements development, business case, collateral, pricing, product strategy, and product positioning

  • Able to effectively with all areas of the organization, from engineering to sales

  • Customer engagement and relationship development for product evangelism, and requirements collecting

  • Feature prioritization and tradeoff decision-making

Your Experience

  • 4+ years of technology product marketing, product management, technical marketing, or technical sales experience

  • Experience with endpoint security, VPN technologies and branch security is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

  • Experience with content generation

  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse partners.

  • Creativity to come up with creative concepts for engaging audiences.

  • Domain expertise in security and cloud architectures, networking and security for service provider environments

  • Hands-on nature with a strong interest in technology products.

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently with limited direction.

  • Experience in a software engineering role

  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle

  • Work towards creating something new, innovative, and disruptive

  • Deep technical competence to provide oversight for requirements in their area to meet customer needs

  • Operates independently and takes initiative within his/her area of responsibility

  • Anticipates future needs and dedicatedly works to get ahead of potential issues or requirements

  • Significant experience building and launching products/services for service providers and telcos

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Track record of success

  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers to gather insight as well as provide recommendations to make the products successful globally
