We are looking for a world-class Instructional Designer within the Global Enablement Organization who can design and develop learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies by creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
As an Instructional Designer, you will work closely with program managers, course developers, and subject matter experts to design and produce self-paced, asynchronous learning experiences. To thrive in this job, you must be strong in instructional design, learning development principles and instructional design tools. You must have the ability to translate technical content into effective learning solutions.
The successful individual in this role has great follow-through, is detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of instructional methodologies, and industry design standards to design and develop interactive learning for a variety of delivery methods.
State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
Assess, design, and develop learning solutions that assist business leaders in meeting functional and organizational business objectives.
Apply learning design knowledge to produce solutions using insight from the Training Team, Project Managers, subject-matter-experts, and management.
Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance developing knowledge and skill assessments, reinforcing learning concepts, through audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.
Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to new curriculum or program ideas.
Create course content that engages the audience, increases retention, transfers skill/knowledge, and drives sustained behavior change.
BA/BS/ MA/MS degree in Learning Design, Education or another related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of instructional design experience and excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
Ability to demonstrate lesson and curriculum planning skills.
Must possess a combination of expert Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe CS, iSpring and PowerPoint skills, with demonstrated work samples showing complex eLearning course development.
Experience in creating and managing the production workflow of interactive eLearning and video modules with at least one Learning Management System.
Competent presentation skills for online or classroom training delivery
Excellent interview skills, with ability to cut through the fog to identify the requester's needs and address them.
Knowledge of learning format options and tradeoffs.
Strong project management and organization skills. Network security project background a big plus.
