This job is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level in accordance with established protocols established by management to facilitate the consistency of results. Work involves performing MRI scans, including a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of MRI operating equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology required.
Current BLS Certification required.
One of the following Requirements must be met.
ARRT, ARMRIT or CAMRT registered as an MR technologist.
ARRT registered and 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in allied health field, and certification in another clinical imaging field (such as ARDMS or NMTCB), and 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
Performing MRI prior to and continuously since October 1996, and evaluated by responsible physician to assure competence.
One year of work experience as a MRI Technologist
GE and Siemens experience preferred.
