  • Position Summary

  • The Registered Technologist-Staff is responsible for providing high quality stationary and mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using independent judgment to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Assures appropriateness of requested examinations. Prepares preliminary reports and faxes reports to unit or physician when required, according to established procedures. Shares rotational call and is present for on-call procedures within 30 minutes.

  • Required:

  • Formal Education and Certifications

  • Board Certified in Radiography by ARRT

  • Licensed by the West Virginia Board of Examiners

  • CPR certification (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire)

  • Knowledge and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of radiation as well as radiology in general

  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology

  • Understanding of Meditech and PACS as related to specific job
