Penn State Children’s Hospital at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is expanding! Because of this, we are seeking out talented Respiratory Care Practitioners who are focused on providing exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families! Our Respiratory Care Practitioner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the most advanced care by providing essential respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients.
An integral part of the care team, the individual selected for this role will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert assessments of patients and determine and execute an appropriate treatment plan to ensure the best outcomes.
A key member of our emergency team, the Respiratory Care Practitioner responds to emergency calls (codes, traumas, rapid responses), and evaluates the patient’s needs for airway care and secretion removal.
Associates Degree from a CoARC approved program in Respiratory Therapy required.
Licensed asRespiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
RRT credential required.
ACLS or PALS/NRP certification required.
Critical thinking and multitasking skills required. Excellent communication skills preferred.
