Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management is responsible for the cross-functional management of products or solutions through their entire life cycle. Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject-matter-expert in certain functional areas of data protection product portfolio.

  • Collaborate with other product managers within the Data Protection Division and broader Dell Technologies business to provide complete offering of data protection software portfolio.

  • Lead and manage the complete life cycle of products from concept to product rollout

  • Contribute to PRDs, product roadmaps, business case justifications, competitive analysis

  • Work with customers on future feature requests (RFEs), escalations on existing offering

  • Work with software developers and other stakeholders to prioritize backlog and own product offering in the market

  • Define clear product requirements and user stories as part of AGILE process / methodology

  • Assist sales in closing opportunities through product roadmap discussions and customer presentations

Essential requirements

  • Experience with and understanding of data protection/storage, virtualization, or enterprise-class products

  • Experience in software developers or product management and solutions development

  • Excellent organization skills, written, verbal communication, and as well as demonstrate the ability to follow up with actions

  • A go-getter with strong desire to lead and take ownership of the full product life cycle

  • 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years with a Master's degree OR PhD without experience OR equivalent experience
